مرکز فرهنگی امام رضا(ع) جهت نشر و تبلیغ فرهنگ اصیل اسلامی و سنت پیامبر(ص) و ائمه(ع) در روز میلاد امام هشتم علی بن موسی الرضا(ع) و با حضور شخصیت‌های فرهنگی و مذهبی در انگلستان به عنوان یک موسسه خیریه در تاریخ ۱۱ ذوالقعده ۱۴۲۷ مصادف با ۳ سپتامبر ۲۰۰۶ میلادی فعالیت خود را آغاز کرده است.
این مرکز تا کنون محلی برای اجرای مراسم عبادی همچون ایام ماه مبارک رمضان، محرم و سایر ایام سوگواری و جشن‌های مذهبی و برپایی شعائر دینی و ملی و تبلیغ معارف اسلامی است.
اعضا هیئت امنای این مرکز سه نفر هستند که برنامه‌ریزی و اجرای وظایف مرکز را با همکاری سایر اعضا برعهده دارند.
اهم اهداف و وظائف مرکز:
- نماز جماعت در مرکز فرهنگی امام رضا (ع) در شب‌های قدر
- ایجاد فضای مناسب برای گردهمایی مسلمانان خصوصا ایرانیان و فارسی‌زبانان
- تعمیق و گسترش فرهنگ دینی و آموزش قرآن و معارف اسلامی
- بزرگداشت مناسبت‌های دینی مذهبی و ملی
- مشاوره در امور دینی فرهنگی و خانوادگی
- خدمات مربوط به ازدواج و طلاق
- چاپ و انتشار جزوات و کتاب‌های سودمند
- هماهنگی و برگزاری سفرهای زیارتی (حج – عمره- عتبات عالیات و …).[۱] [۲]
The Cultural Center of Imam al-Rida (a) began its activities in 1427/2006 with the goal of propagating and publishing genuine Islamic culture, and the tradition of the Noble Prophet (s) and Imams (a). This institute has hosted events related to worship such as the Holy month of Ramadan, Muharram, and other mourning anniversaries, or religious celebrations, and also upholding religious and national traditions, and propagating Islamic theology. Three people form the management board of this institute and are responsible for planning and executing the institute’s programs with the help of other members. Providing a good atmosphere for Muslim gatherings, teaching and spreading Islamic culture, Qur’anic teachings, Islamic theology, and moderating religious and national ceremonies are some of the most important duties and aims of this institute.[۳]
