Jaffaria Academy is a full-time British online school with an Islamic ethos. It is a charitable project that delivers a holistic high-quality education service that is affordable and accessible to all community members. Through engaging live daily virtual classes, our team of qualified and experienced teachers deliver the English National Curriculum to students from across the UK and other parts of the world.
Within our curriculum, we have integrated Islamic education, based on the teachings of AhlulBayt (AS).
We nurture the mental health and wellbeing of our students and their families by organising workshops and seminars delivered by specialists, as well as providing a warm and safe learning environment where students can thrive.
Our students have the opportunity to build their social and physical skills by participating in a host of fun and exciting group based hub activities such as social and sports events.
Our holistic educational model is framed within the UK’s Department for Education (DfE) “Online Education Standards”, employing the best educational resources and state of the art technology.
To be effective and contributing members of society, we recognise the importance of cultivating the principles of respect, tolerance and peaceful coexistence through a combination of faith-based character development and citizenship education.[۱]
Jaffaria Academy strives for excellence in all areas by providing a high-quality online education accessible to students in the UK and abroad. By recognising our students’ individual aptitude, we facilitate holistic learning journeys to enable them to reach their full potential.
Our students are taught by a caring team of qualified and experienced teachers and have access to outstanding educational resources.
At Jaffaria Academy, our student’s physical, social, spiritual and moral development is cultivated by an environment anchored in the love and teachings of AhlulBayt (as), to foster respect, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence, guided by esteemed scholars.[۲]
At Jaffaria Academy we offer a structured educational program for Years 1 to 10 GCSE (Year 10 starting Sep 2021).
Classes run Monday to Friday from 9am to 3:30pm. Our primary students have the option of ending their day at 1:30pm. This shorter day option will still cover the national curriculum but will exclude the optional academic clubs that run daily after lunch, from 2:30pm to 3:30pm (i.e. English Club, Maths Club, Science club and Computer Science club).
We follow the UK school term dates (September to July), and will accommodate elements of the Islamic Calendar (i.e. The holy month of Ramadhan, Day of Ashura)
We deliver the English National Curriculum in addition to Islamic education, the Holy Quran, and Arabic.
Our learning resources (syllabus) is sourced from the follow institutions:
Oxford University Press
Rising Stars
Hamilton Trust
MCE Tarbiyah Curriculum.
