The AhlulBayt Centre was purchased on the 7th March 2013. Since then the centre has been a focal point for all Shia Muslims in Oxford. At the AhlulBayt Centre, we provide a range of services for the local community including Wiladat and Shahadat events of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (ص) and his Household (ع).
We also hold regular weekly events including Dua’s, Friday Prayers, Madressa and other such events so that we can cater to the needs of the entire Oxford community. These events are a good opportunity to strengthen your relationship with Allah (SWT) and also get to know the diverse local community.[۱]
Madressa
At the AhlulBayt Centre, we run a weekly Madressa that takes place on Sunday. The Madressa is for children between the ages of 6 and 15. Here, we teach a comprehensive Islamic curriculum including the topics of Fiqh, Aqaid, Akhlaq, Tareekh and Quran. The children are encouraged to think freely in an environment where they can solidify their bases in faith, rather than just digest information without passion or understanding.[۲]
